Minister of International Cooperation H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al Mashat Highlights Need to Strengthen Multilateral Cooperation & Collaboration to Address Global Challenges at the World Government Summit
The Minister of International Cooperation H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al Mashat said that the successive changes the world is going through require resilient leadership, innovative mechanisms to address emerging challenges and coordination to enhance the exchange of experiences. H.E. noted that the Government of Egypt is working to establish innovative solutions to overcome challenges and accelerate development.

Within the framework of the participation of the Arab Republic of Egypt as the guest of honor of a high-level delegation headed by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at the World Government Summit: Minister of International Cooperation H.E Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat Participates in the World Government Summit 2023 in Dubai, UAE under the theme "Shaping Future Governments"
Within the framework of the participation of the Arab Republic of Egypt as a guest of honor at the World Government Summit (WGS) in Dubai 2023, with a high-level delegation headed by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Minister of International Cooperation H.E Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat is taking part in this year's summit events under the theme "Shaping Future Governments". This includes the participation of elite of government leaders, ministers, senior officials, decision-makers, thought leaders and specialists in financial, economic and social affairs from around the world, to exchange experiences, knowledge and ideas that contribute to promoting development and prosperity around the world.

The Minister of International Cooperation H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat met with Nuria Sanz, Director of UNESCO’s Regional Bureau for Science in the Arab States, to discuss joint cooperation in light of efforts by the Ministry of International Cooperation to strengthen relations with multilateral and bilateral development partners and United Nations organizations, under the umbrella of the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF 2023- 2027) between Egypt and the UN.

The Minister of International Cooperation H.E. Dr. Rania A. Ambassador Christian Berger, European Union Ambassador to Egypt; Dr. Ahmed Kamaly, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Planning and Economic Development; Eng. Ghada Labib, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology; and Mr. Janos Bertok, Deputy Director, OECD Directorate of Public Governance.

The Minister of International Cooperation and Governor of Egypt at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat witnessed the launch of the second phase of the Green Economy Financing Facility Egypt II – GEFF Egypt II and greening value chains for the private sector, with a value of $175 million. This comes as a result of the effective partnerships between the Government of Egypt and the EBRD to stimulate the participation of the private sector and increase its role in development efforts in Egypt.
