Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation and Governor of Egypt at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), met with Vahe Hovhannisyan, Minister of Finance of Armenia, within the framework of the discussions H.E. is holding meetings with officials of governments and international institutions, during her participation in the annual meetings of the Bank held in the Armenian capital, Yerevan.

Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation and Governor of Egypt at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), held a discussion session with Ms. Odile Renaud Basso, President of the EBRD, to discuss developments in the strategic partnership and the efforts made to advance development efforts, especially in light of enhancing relations between Egypt and the EU, reflecting on the the visit of the President of the European Commission to Egypt last March.

The Minister of International Cooperation H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat witnessed the “Climate Finance Accelerator (CFA) Second Cohort Graduation for 9 startup companies. This is implemented in cooperation between the British Embassy in Egypt and the Flat6Labs business incubator, within the framework of the international partnership between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the United Kingdom, which aims to provide £10 million worth of technical assistance to 10 countries to support climate action start-ups.

Hosted by the Arab Republic of Egypt; the joint annual meetings of the Arab financial authorities for the year 2024, which are scheduled to be held in the New Administrative Capital on May 22, are under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and in the presence of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister. Within the activities of “IFC Day in Egypt” and the high-level forum held during the activities of the visit of Mr. Sergio Pimenta, Vice President of the Foundation for the Africa Region, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation and Governor of Egypt to the World Bank, participated in a discussion session entitled “Public Meets Private: Unlocking Sustainable Investment in Egypt” with the participation of Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Dr. Mohamed Maait, Minister of Finance, Mr. Tarek Tawfiq, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt, and Mr. Stephane Gimbert, Regional Director For Egypt, Yemen and Djibouti at the World Bank, the session was moderated by Cheikh Omar Sylla, Regional Director of the IFC for North Africa and the Horn of Africa.

Preparatory work begins for the 32nd session of the Egyptian-Jordanian Joint Higher Committee: A new step towards strengthening joint relations

Today, in Cairo, the preparatory work for the 32nd session of the Egyptian-Jordanian Joint Higher Committee begins, which will be held from May 7-9. This committee is one of the main mechanisms through which the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan work to enhance their economic, trade, investment, and cultural relations. This reflects the shared history and close ties between the two countries. The regular convening of the committee demonstrates the commitment of the leadership of both countries to further expanding cooperation at various levels.
