The Ministry of International Cooperation, the United Nations’ Generation Unlimited (GenU) initiative, participated in launching the Green Rising Program, which aims to empower 10 million youth, develop their skills, and enhance their participation in volunteer work to promote green growth and encourage job opportunities and entrepreneurship, through a partnership between the government and private sectors over the next three years until 2025.

The Minister of International Cooperation, H.E. Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, participated in the Sustainable Innovation Forum, held during COP28 in the United Arab Emirates, and organized by the non-profit Climate Action Foundation. The forum was attended by business leaders, governments, civil society, 1,000 decision-makers, investors, innovators, climate leaders, and about 150 speakers. The forum is intended to explore the urgent actions the world needs to promote a just transition towards green transformation, establish partnerships between sectors, and showcase innovative climate solutions that accelerate the pace of this transformation.

During the activities of COP28 held in the United Arab Emirates, the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) organized a special session to discuss the national platform of the NWFE program, the pillar of the link between water, food and energy projects, and its role as a leading national institution in bridging the climate financing gap and promoting development and transformation efforts. The session highlighted the program as a replicable model in developing countries and emerging economies, to overcome climate challenges and enhance the capacity to mobilize financing for mitigation and adaptation projects.

The Ministry of International Cooperation has Completed the Procedures for Handing Over its Old Headquarters to the Arab Court of Arbitration as a temporary headquarters in Implementation of the Directives of the President of the Republic to Strengthen Joint Arab Action.

In implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, to strengthen joint Arab action, and in implementation of the decision of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers issued last August, the Ministry of International Cooperation completed the handover ceremony of the former headquarters of the Ministry located in the downtown area, to become the temporary headquarters of the Arab Court of Arbitration, until the permanent headquarters of the court is prepared in the City of Justice in the New Administrative Capital.
