In Its Transition Report 2023-2024 | The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) applauds Egypt’s efforts to improve the business environment, enhance private sector participation, and launch the NWFE program to stimulate the transition to renewable energy

The EBRD highlighted the measures taken by the state to enhance private sector participation, increase investments, and improve the business environment. It also praised Egypt’s steps in increasing the proportion of renewable energy, transforming into a regional center for renewable energy, and launching the NWFE program, the connection between water, food, and energy projects.

The Ministry of International Cooperation Signed 2 Grants Worth $19 million within the Framework of the Bilateral Cooperation Program with Switzerland

The Ministry of International Cooperation announced the signing of two grants worth $19 million with Switzerland. The grants are to benefit the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, in implementing the second phase of the drinking water management program in Upper Egypt and the sludge management project in Beni Suef.

Yesterday, the World Bank mission began with visiting Egypt to hold several meetings with government agencies to discuss aspects of technical cooperation with the government regarding the implementation of the state ownership policy document and benefiting from the best international practices in managing state-owned assets. The mission’s work continues until the end of this week.
