The Minister of International Cooperation H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat and Resident Coordinator of the UN Office in Egypt Elena Panova visited the “Partnership for Improving Prospects for Forcibly Displaced Persons and Host Communities (PROSPECTS)” in Caritas, Al Agamy and the “Restorative Approach to Juvenile Justice: Socio-educative Model of Reintegration and Alternative Measures to Detention” project, as part of the upcoming launch of the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2023 - 2027.

Within the Framework of the Visit to Alexandria: H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, Elena Panova, Resident Coordinator of the UN Office in Egypt, & the Governor of Alexandria, Visited “Solar Energy for Industrial Process Heat” & “Industrial Motors Energy Efficiency Programme” Projects at the Sidi Kerir Petrochemical Company (SIDPEC).

H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, and Elena Panova, Resident Coordinator of the United Nations Office in Egypt, With the participation of Major-General Mohamed Taher Elsherief, Governor of Alexandria, Ibrahim Mekki, Chairman of the Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company (ECHEM), Mohamed Ibrahim, Chairman and CEO of Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals (Sidpec), alongside members of the House of Representatives and Senate, representatives of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, the Federation of Egyptian Industries and United Nations agencies visited the “Solar Energy for Industrial Process Heat” & “Industrial Motors Energy Efficiency Programme” projects at the Sidi Kerir Petrochemical Company (SIDPEC) in Alexandria. This is part of the Egypt - UN Partnership Week, visiting projects implemented in cooperation with national entities and UN organizations and agencies.

Within the framework of the Partnership Week between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the United Nations, H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, along with Elena Panova, Resident Coordinator of the UN Office in Egypt, is visiting a number of development projects in Alexandria

Al-Mashat and Elena Panova are visiting a number of development projects in Alexandria in light of the Egypt-UN Partnership Week, which will highlight the projects already implemented on ground in the different governorates in order to strengthen the partnership between the two sides, and in preparation for the final United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2023 - 2027 that will be signed in March.

Al-Mashat & UN Resident Coordinator Elena Panova concluded visit to Minya Governorate by visiting the services of the primary health care unit & speaking to beneficiaries of the “Women Economic Empowerment for Inclusive and Sustainable Growth

Al-Mashat and Panova concluded their visit to the Minya Governorate by visiting the Primary Health Care Unit services for the “Parenting Programme in Haya Karima Villages”, the positive education program in villages covered by the Haya Karima initiative. They also reviewed the results of the Women's Economic Empowerment for Inclusive and Sustainable Growth Project "Rabeha", and reviewed a number of projects implemented by women entrepreneurs, in the light of the partnership between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the United Nations and its subsidiary agencies represented in the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Women, and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim, Deputy Governor of Minya, and the governorate's leadership, along with officials of UN agencies, representatives of the House of Representatives and civil society organizations participated in the inspection tour.

H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, and Elena Panova, UN Resident Coordinator in Egypt, began their visit to Minya Governorate by visiting field schools under the Sustainable Agricultural Investments and Livelihoods (SAIL) programme, in Aljehad Village, supported by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), in the light of the strategic partnership between the two sides, with the participation of Mohamed Ibrahim Abid, Deputy Governor of Minya Governorate, and a working team of representatives of the IFAD, and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

The Ministry of International Cooperation and the United Nations Office Launch Partnership Week in Preparation for Signing the New Strategic Framework 2023-2027

The Ministry of International Cooperation and United Nations Office in Egypt, is launching the Partnership Week between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the United Nations in preparation for the signing of the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2023 - 2027, which is the comprehensive document for joint action between the two sides to support national priorities and accelerate progress towards the SDGs in 2023-2027.

Minister of International Cooperation H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat Witnesses Launch of 2nd Phase of Digitalisation of the Suez Canal Economic Zone with the EBRD

The Minister of International Cooperation H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat witnessed the launch of the second phase of the technical support programme for the digitalisation of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone).

H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, and the Japanese Ambassador in Egypt Signed Letters of Intent to finance a $330 million Health Insurance Policy Development Project.

In light of the priority given by the Government of Egypt to develop the healthcare sector and expand universal health coverage for all citizens, H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, and Oka Hiroshi, Ambassador of Japan to Egypt, signed letters of mutual assistance to finance the Universal Health Insurance Project worth 44 billion Japanese yen - US$330 million.

Within the Framework of His First Visit to Egypt, Minister of International Cooperation H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat Participates in Roundtable with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with Egyptian Businessmen and Companies

The Minister of International Cooperation H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat participated in the round table, chaired by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, with Egyptian businessmen and companies with the conclusion of the Egyptian-Uzbek Business Forum. The round table is part of the president’s first visit to Egypt, in light of the distinguished relations between the two countries, and the mutual high-level visits in order to advance relations on all levels, as well given the previous visit of President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to Uzbekistan, which witnessed the signing of several documents of joint cooperation.

Al-Mashat participated in a panel discussion on "Challenges and Opportunities in the Water-Food -Energy Nexus" during her participation in the 46th session of the IFAD Governing Council in Rome, Italy, which focused on accelerating action for food security in the face of the challenges facing the world, with high-level participation from the IFAD Senior Management, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, Heads of State, government and various international organizations.
