Minister of International Cooperation H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat Meets with IFC Regional Director on Efforts to Improve the Business Environment & Provide More Financial and Non-financial Services to the Private Sector

The Minister of International Cooperation H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat held a meeting with Sarvesh Suri, Regional Industry Director for Infrastructure and Natural Resources in Africa for the International Finance Corporation (IFC), in the presence of IFC's Director for North Africa and Horn of Africa Sheikh Omar Sylla. This meeting is within the framework of following up on partnership projects with the IFC, which aims to empower the private sector, through concessional development financing and contributions, as well as technical support to various parties, in addition to the IFC’s role as a consultant to the government in implementing the government proposal program.

Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, meets with the President of the General Confederation of Algerian Enterprises (CGEA) to discuss opportunities for joint cooperation

H.E. Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, met with Saida Neghza, President of the General Confederation of Algerian Enterprises (CGEA) which is an independent Algerian organization that represents business owners and includes more than 1,200 representatives from various economic sectors, in light of the role played by the Ministry of International Cooperation to strengthen economic relations with multilateral and bilateral development partners.

In Line With the Signing of the New Country Programme: EverythingAbout Cooperation between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization

Under the umbrella of the Egypt - United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2023-2027, and in accordance with the national priorities within Egypt’s Vision 2030, sectoral strategies and presidential initiatives, H.E. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and Mr. Qu Dongyu, Director-General of FAO, witnessed the signing of the new Egypt - FAO Country Programme between Mr. Al-Sayyid Al-Quseir, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, and Dr. Abdel Hakim Al-Waer, FAO Assistant Director-General, and the regional representative for the Near East and North Africa region. This was also in the presence of H.E. Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation.

The Minister of International Cooperation H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat participated in ringing the bell of the Egyptian Stock Exchange this morning, along with Ambassador Soha El-Gendy, Minister of Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates' Affairs, and Mr. Ahmed El-Sheikh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Stock Exchange, and a number of female representatives of the House of Representatives and Senate, and board members of companies listed on the stock exchange, as part of the Egyptian Stock Exchange’s celebration of International Women’s Day, organized in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

Minister of International Cooperation H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat participated in the opening ceremony of the 3rd Top 50 Women Forum, which was launched today under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and organized by Top 50 Women Forum in partnership with the National Council for Women and the European Union. The event also featured employment forum activities.

H.E. Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation Meets Vice-President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for Policies and Partnerships on NWFE & Portfolio of Future Projects

Within the framework of the close relations between Egypt and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), H.E. Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation and Egypt’s Governor at the Bank, met with a high-level delegation headed by Mr. Mark Bowman, the Bank’s Vice President for Policies and Partnerships, and in the presence of Ms. Heike Harmgart, Managing Director for the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean (SEMED) region , Mr. Khaled Hamza, Director of the Egypt Office, Mr. Hamza Al-Assad, Assistant Director and Head of Climate Strategy for the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean Region, and others. The meeting witnessed discussing various aspects of joint cooperation between the two sides, and following up on the implementation of ongoing projects, especially within the framework of the energy pillar within the NWFE Program.

At the conclusion of their visit to Egypt, H.E. Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation and Governor of Egypt at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), received representatives of the Bank’s Board of Directors, where the meeting witnessed a review of the results of the visit that lasted over 6 days, and witnessed extensive meetings, visits and consultations of the Board of Directors with representatives of the national entities, private sector, business community, development partners, and civil society. In addition, bank officials inspected a number of projects for which the bank contributed to providing financial and technical support, whether to the private or public sector.

H.E. Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, met with Mr. Qu Dongyu, Director-General of the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Egypt, and the Regional Representative for the Near East and North Africa region, on the sidelines of the FAO’s signing of the new Country Programme Framework. This was witnessed by H.E. Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, under the umbrella of the Egypt - United Nations United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2023-2027, in a way that enhances the state’s efforts and priorities to achieve sustainable agricultural and rural development, enhance food security, and improve income and living conditions in rural areas.

As a culmination of the joint cooperation efforts between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the People’s Republic of China, and under the leadership of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and their diversity in various fields, especially in the field of scientific research and exchange of experiences, Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly witnessed yesterday the signing of the handover and delivery certificate for the “Assembly and Integration and Testing Satellite Center". The satellite test was carried out with Chinese grants, and the agreement was signed by H.E. Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation and Minister of Commerce from the Chinese side.

European Investment Bank President Welcomes Egypt’s Minister of International Cooperation to Luxembourg Headquarters

The European Investment Bank President Nadia Calviño welcomed Rania Al-Mashat, Egypt's Minister of International Cooperation, to the EIB’s Luxembourg headquarters.
