H.E. Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, is participating in the "AlUla" Conference for Emerging Market Economies, organized by the Saudi Ministry of Finance and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The conference is taking place today, Sunday, and will continue for two days in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the theme "Building Resilience in a Changing World."
The annual high-level conference represents a prominent global platform and aims to foster dialogue and cooperation to address the economic challenges facing emerging markets in the context of structural transformations of the global economy, by bringing together high-level decision-makers, economic figures, and experts from around the world.
The conference will be attended by economists and decision makers from governments and international financial institutions, including Ms. Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Mr. Mohammed Al-Jadaan, Minister of Finance of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Ali bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, Minister of Finance of Qatar, Mr. Anton Silvanov, Minister of Finance of Russia, Mr. Faisal Al-Ibrahim, Minister of Economy and Planning of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Jihad Azour, Director of the Middle East and Central Asia Department of the International Monetary Fund, Mr. Jin Li Chun, President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, others ministers of economy, planning, and finance, central bank governors of multiple countries, and heads of multilateral development banks.
