● Al-Mashat will deliver Egypt's speech, during which she focuses on cooperation in the field of energy, ensuring its supplies, and promoting the development of African countries.
The Minister of International Cooperation, H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat, arrived in Rome, Italy to participate in the Italian-African Summit, on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, which will be held during the 28th and 29th of January.
Al-Mashat is scheduled to deliver Egypt’s speech, during which she will focus on cooperation in the field of energy, ensuring its supplies, and promoting the development of African countries to reduce migration flows to Europe, in addition to addressing the development gaps in Africa and putting it on a path that enhances the green transformation, achieves the principles of the Paris Agreement on climate change, and reduces harmful emissions, with the need to coordinate joint efforts to mobilize the efforts of the international community and direct them towards supporting the green transformation in Africa, and reducing its vulnerability to climate change through the implementation of adaptation projects and mitigation of the repercussions of climate change.
During the visit, Al-Mashat will also discuss the fruitful cooperation between Egypt and Italy in various fields, within the framework of the joint development cooperation relations that bind the two sides, and the need to work to strengthen them in light of development priorities and the government’s endeavor to stimulate the participation of the private sector in development efforts.
