The Minister of International Cooperation and President of the National Council for Women discuss joint cooperation efforts with development partners to enhance women’s empowerment programs and support their role in development

Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, met with Dr. Maya Morsy, President of the National Council for Women, to discuss a number of files and joint work programs within the framework of cooperation with international institutions and development partners, to support efforts to empower women and enhance their role in development, within the framework of the state’s development and strategic vision for National Women Empowerment 2030.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, participated in the International Development Association (IDA) for Africa Heads of State Summit in Kenya to discuss the process of the twenty-first replenishment of the resources of the IDA

On behalf of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, participated in the Summit of African Heads of State, which was held in Kenya on the sidelines of the International Development Association (IDA) program for Africa, to discuss the ambitions of the continent of Africa within the framework of cooperation with the World Bank Group's IDA and the 21st Replenishment of IDA, the world's largest institution that provides low-interest financing and grants to help countries invest in the future and improve lives. This included the participation of Dr. William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya, Mr. Ajay Banga, President of the World Bank Group, and heads of state and government.

Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, met with Alessandro Fracasetti, the resident representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Egypt. The meeting witnessed the discussion of many areas of joint cooperation between the Egyptian government and the program in light of the state’s strategic priorities, the country program and the strategic framework for the partnership between Egypt and the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework 2023 - 2027.

With the participation of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the President of the Economic and Social Council, the President of the International Monetary Fund and many high-level representatives of countries: Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, participates in the Financing for Development (FfD) Forum of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC)
