Objective

This project focuses on combating genderbased violence (GBV) in Egypt. This is namely through the establishment of a GBV Unit at NCW, with the mandate to guide and monitor the implementation of the previously developed national VAW Strategy within line ministries and relevant entities, and to institutionalize key policies and structures establishing an enabling environment and a higher level of awareness on the national and community levels to combat GBV. Additionally, another component of this program focuses on expanding GBV health protection and response services provided to victims.
