Background:
● The first session of the Egyptian-Polish Joint Committee concluded with a focus on economic, scientific, and technical cooperation. It was chaired by H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, and her Polish counterpart.
● This committee session is part of implementing the economic cooperation agreement signed during the Polish President’s visit to Egypt in 2022.
● The new agreement replaces the old economic cooperation agreement from 1964, marking a new phase of relations aimed at advancing development and economic cooperation.
Signing of the Protocol: At the conclusion of the session, H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat and Mr. Krzysztof Paszek, Polish Minister of Economic Development and Technology, signed the protocol, which outlines collaboration in 16 areas across sectors like trade, investment, digital and green transformation, among others.
