Following the constitutional oath before His Excellency the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt H.E. Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, meets with planning leadership and reviews priorities for the upcoming phase

Al-Mashat: We operate according to the directives of the political leadership. Integrating the ministries of planning and economic development with international cooperation enhances efficiency, effectiveness, and strengthens mechanisms supporting the overall economy.

Enhancing the use of planning and international cooperation tools in executing presidential mandates for the government to continue economic reform and prioritize sectors such as education, health, and industrial localization.

Al-Mashat congratulates Dr. Hala ElSaid on her appointment as Advisor to the President of the Republic for Economic Affairs, thanking her for her efforts in the planning portfolio.

H.E. Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, commenced her duties today at the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development following her swearing-in before H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic. H.E. Al-Mashat prioritized meetings with ministry leadership, emphasizing that the integration of the ministries of planning and economic development with international cooperation enhances work efficiency, effectiveness, and supports mechanisms for the overall economy.

Minister Al-Mashat added that the upcoming period will focus on defining national priorities to attract investment and private sector engagement, including industrial localization and investment in human capital. Moreover, H.E. highlighted the utilization of tools in planning, economic development, and international cooperation to implement governmental directives regarding ongoing economic reform, with a focus on health, education, and industrial development.

Minister Al-Mashat noted that all international relations with partner countries are built on national strategies and projects. With the integration of ministries, there will be greater coherence, clarity of strategy, and focus on investing in human capital, coordinating strategic plans with state resources and external financing. Al-Mashat also emphasized that this integration presents a significant opportunity, given that the Ministry of International Cooperation's role is to coordinate with ministries, ensuring clarity in all programs and projects.

H.E. Al-Mashat outlined that the ministry's strategy for the upcoming period will align with directives from H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for the new government today, focusing on attracting and encouraging domestic and foreign investments, and promoting private sector growth, all within the framework of improving the comprehensive financial and economic performance of the state to achieve the aspirations of the Egyptian people for development and progress.

Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, extended congratulations to Dr. Hala ElSaid, former Minister of Planning and Economic Development, on her appointment as Advisor to the President of the Republic for Economic Affairs, wishing her continued success, and expressing gratitude for her efforts in the planning portfolio during the previous period.
