On 01/01/1963 , Socialist Republic of Vietnam has started to cooperate with Egypt.
Egyptian-Vietnamese relations are historic as Egypt was one of the first countries that opened an embassy in Hanoi following the Vietnam War. Bilateral cooperation notably developed over these years where many cooperation agreements were signed in various political, economic, cultural and commercial fields, besides exchanging support in international forums and holding regular political consultations between both sides at the level of Foreign Minister assistants.
- Micro and Small Enterprises Cooperation Agreement between Egypt’s Social Fund for Development (SFD) and Vietnam’s Industrial Development Authority.
- Memorandum of Understanding on participation in international exhibitions and fairs between Egypt’s General Organization for International Exhibitions & Fairs (GOIEF) and Vietnam’s Exhibition & Convention Center.
- Executive Program for Cooperation between Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Vietnam’s Ministries of Culture, Sport and Tourism in 2009-2010.
- Memorandum of Understanding between the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and Vietnam’s Oil and Gas Group on 9 November 2008.
