Historical Background

Egyptian-Kazakhstani economic and trade relations are regulated by the Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation Agreement concluded between both countries in February 1993. Under this Agreement, four sessions of the Egyptian-Kazakhstani Joint Committee were held co-chaired by the Minister of International Cooperation. 

Sessions Held

Number of sessions: four sessions of the Egyptian-Kazakhstani Joint Commission were held to date.
The first session was held in Cairo in May 1995.

Important Recommendations /Agreements Signed at the Last Session:

The last session was held in Astana in February 2007.
 The following deeds were signed:
A Protocol was signed on 25/2/2007 including a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of archives between the General Authority for the National Library and Archives and the National Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan on 26/2/2007.
