Historical Background

Based on Egyptian-Croatian Economic Agreement, a Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation between both countries was established in 1994. This commission held two sessions, last of which was convened in Cairo in October 1997. The Egyptian side was then chaired by the Ministry of International Cooperation.

First session was held in Zagreb in 1994.

The last session was held in Cairo in October 1997.
 The following deeds were signed:
Agreement on the Protection of Bilateral Investments signed in October and approved in May 1999.
Cooperation Agreement on Tourism signed in October 1997.
