Historical Background

The Egyptian Venezuelan Joint Committee was established pursuant to the Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement signed between both countries on 16 April 1988 with a view to founding a suitable environment for bilateral cooperation in numerous economic and technical fields. 

Sessions Held

First Session of the Egyptian Venezuelan Joint Committee was held in Cairo on 17- 18 May 2010.

Important Recommendations /Agreements Signed at the Last Session:

The parties sought means of boosting cooperation in different fields, particularly political cooperation and multi-party state affairs, in addition to the fields of culture, education, media, agriculture, tourism, science, technology, health and economic cooperation. At the close of the First Session, four documents were signed covering cooperation in the fields of the media and education, and an agreement was reached concerning the executive program of cultural cooperation between both countries for the period 2010- 2012.  The documents also covered an agreement on exempting diplomats and VIP’s from visa stamps.
