In line with MOIC’s efforts to follow up on the implementation of agreements signed by the Minister of International Cooperation Dr. Sahar Nasr during the presidential visit to Japan, MOIC organized a workshop chaired by the Minister’s Assistant Dr. Shehab Marzban on 14 March 2016, with the participation of executive officers from several ministries as well as MOIC’s Asian and Americas Sectors. The workshop was held in presence of representatives from the Ministries of Education, Higher Education, Electricity, Irrigation & Water Resources, Communication & Information Technology, and Trade & Industry (trade representation), besides the General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone).
The purpose of the workshop was to discuss benefiting from signed agreements and memoranda of understanding and to exchange views on future cooperation priorities and areas, besides realizing optimum benefit from Japanese and Korean technology according to line ministry plans. The workshop also addressed the electricity and energy plan 2035, the technical education strategy, and interests of the Ministry of Communications.
At the end of the workshop, representatives of governmental agencies commended MOIC’s role of concluding international agreements for development assistance as well as its role as a national coordinator along with Egyptian authorities to achieve Egypt’s economic development priorities.
